Technology are responsible for the IT systems needed to deliver Betfair’s products and services. Around 400 employees make up teams located in Hammersmith, Stevenage, Malta, Romania and Hobart Tasmania. The department, which boasts some of the best engineers in the world, prides itself on its high standards and everyone has a passion for creating products which are unrivalled across the industry.

Betfair Architecture provides the technical vision for the world's most vibrant online betting community. The challenge of delivering a portfolio of webscale products to an expanding array of new channels makes the architect's job demanding, varied and rewarding. Not only concerned with delivering today, the architecture team are also designing tomorrow's internet gambling platform.

Enterprise and Platform Development deliver applications and shared services required across the Betfair product portfolio. Enterprise develop and integrate applications that allow the business to operate products while Platform provide bespoke components which can be consumed by products during service delivery. Within the team, over 100 Engineers comprise five specialists groups.

IS takes primary responsibility for the hardware, software and services that run Betfair.com. The team deliver uptime across the Betfair product portfolio, including all underlying components, such as applications, databases, servers, storage and monitoring. They're also responsible for the supporting infrastructure and office systems, managing upgrades and maintenance of infrastructure, as well as application improvements to the product portfolio.

The PMO needs bright, energetic, natural leaders to drive change and enable delivery. We are committed to Agile Scrum Methodology and seek people with good experience leading Agile transformation and project delivery. Our team of Programme Managers, Project Managers and Business Analysts create the framework, driving clear communication across functional teams and locations. We ensure that decisions correlate with strategic objectives.

QA ensures end to end quality throughout the Technology department. A team of over 100 Engineers located around the globe focuses on Quality Assurance of software releases, Test Frameworks, Release Management and Performance Engineering. QA is committed to the use of automation with focus on quality test development as well as full use of Agile collaboration with other teams in Technology.

Security is essential to Betfair's success. The team identify, assess and mitigate global risks through a framework of scalable controls. Drawing on their considerable expertise, they provide transparent, innovative solutions. Betfair Security remains one of the few in the industry to have achieved international standards certification for ISO/IEC27001 for more than three years.

The team increase conversion and retention of new customers, optimise cross-sell and engage existing users with flexibile, personalised products. The team comprises three areas of expertise: Information Architecture, Visual Design and User Research. Its members are passionate, hard working and open to new ideas.
